Hi, I’m Jen.
I’m a stay-at-home mom, first-time mother of twins, and a parent who stepped into motherhood later in life — in my 40s.
Like many moms, I didn’t begin this journey with all the answers. I came in with curiosity, a willingness to learn and unlearn, and a deep desire to build connection over control.
Parenting twins in the toddler years has stretched me in ways I never expected — the constant juggling, the noise, the split attention, and the emotional intensity. It can feel overwhelming and beautiful all at once.
Restful Roots was created from real life — not perfection. This space is where I share practical tools for gentle parenting, emotional regulation strategies for moms, and grounded support for navigating the early years with more calm and confidence.
If you’re navigating big feelings, overstimulation, toddler meltdowns, or the unique rhythm of parenting twins — you’re in the right place.
My Approach to Gentle Parenting and Emotional Regulation
I believe strong boundaries and deep connection can coexist.
Through consistent routines, respectful parenting, and steady leadership, I help moms build calmer homes — especially in the intense toddler years.
Because when we regulate ourselves, we teach our children how to do the same.
